Wellness & Weightloss
Important Medical Disclosure
Velvet Couture Medspa does not sell or dispense prescription medications. All weight-management services require a medical evaluation by a licensed provider. Medications, when approved, are prescribed based on clinical appropriateness and fulfilled by licensed U.S. partner pharmacies. Medication formulation may vary based on availability and clinical indication. Provider determines final formulation.
At Velvet Couture Medspa, our Wellness & Weight Loss program is designed to help you look and feel your best from the inside out. Whether you're just starting your health journey or looking for support to reach your next goal, we offer medical-grade treatments like Tirzepatide, Semaglutide, Lipotropic C, and B12 injections—all tailored to your body’s needs. Through convenient telemedicine consultations and expert guidance, we make weight loss safe, sustainable, and simple.
Which One Fits Your Goals?
Both Semaglutide and Tirzepatide are weekly GLP-1 based injections that help regulate appetite, improve insulin sensitivity, and support weight loss.
Semaglutide supports steady weight loss and is great for those just starting their journey.
Tirzepatide offers a more advanced approach and may lead to faster results for those with more weight to lose or looking for a boost.
During your consultation, we’ll guide you toward the best option based on your health history, weight loss goals, and how your body responds.
Semaglutide
How Does Semaglutide Work?
Semaglutide is a non-stimulant, medical weight loss injection that mimics your body’s natural GLP-1 hormone. It works by:
Slowing how quickly your stomach empties
Making you feel full longer after eating
Helping reduce cravings and appetite
Supporting blood sugar balance
Why Patients Love It:
Feel full longer
Lose weight gradually
Support your overall health
When Will I See Results?
Some patients notice decreased appetite and smaller portion sizes in the first few weeks. However, the most noticeable weight loss typically starts around 8–12 weeks, especially as the dose is gradually increased.
How Long Can I Take It?
Semaglutide is FDA-approved for chronic weight management and is safe for long-term use. You can remain on it as long as you are seeing results, tolerating it well, and working toward your health goals.
Who Qualifies:
BMI ≥ 30
BMI 27–29.9 with a weight-related condition (e.g., high blood pressure, diabetes, PCOS)
Common Side Effects:
Mild symptoms like nausea, constipation, or bloating may occur early on but typically improve over time. Eating slowly, avoiding greasy foods, and drinking water can help manage side effects.
⚠️ Not recommended for patients with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or MEN2 syndrome.
Tirzepatide
How Does Tirzepatide Work?
Tirzepatide is a dual-action injectable medication that mimics both GLP-1 and GIP hormones. This offers enhanced appetite control and stronger metabolic effects. It works by:
Suppressing hunger
Slowing digestion
Improving insulin response
Boosting fat loss more aggressively
Why Patients Love It:
Faster, more dramatic weight loss
Great for those with more weight to lose
May improve blood sugar, energy, and confidence
When Will I See Results?
Appetite changes often begin within the first 1–2 weeks. Most patients begin to see weight loss by week 4–6, with significant results around the 8–12 week mark.
How Long Can I Take It?
Tirzepatide is also approved for long-term weight management. As long as it’s well-tolerated and effective for you, it can safely be continued under your provider’s care.
Who Qualifies:
Same BMI criteria as Semaglutide. Tirzepatide is especially helpful for individuals who need more support or didn’t respond as well to other treatments.
Common Side Effects:
Mild nausea, burping, or fatigue can occur, especially in the beginning. These symptoms often decrease over time as your body adjusts to the medication.
⚠️ Not for individuals with a personal/family history of thyroid cancer or certain endocrine conditions.
When prescribed, medications are dispensed by licensed U.S. compounding pharmacies operating under Sections 503A and/or 503B of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. 503A pharmacies are state-licensed and compound medications pursuant to patient-specific prescriptions. 503B outsourcing facilities are registered with the FDA and are subject to FDA inspection and current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) requirements.
Compounded medications are not FDA-approved. They are prescribed only when clinically appropriate and prepared in compliance with applicable federal and state regulations.

Have struggled with traditional weight loss methods
Experience appetite dysregulation
Have insulin resistance or metabolic challenges
Want medical oversight and accountability
Are committed to long-term success
A consultation is required to determine eligibility.
What Happens After You Reach Your Goal?
Weight loss is only one part of the journey. Many patients are most concerned about maintaining results and avoiding weight regain once they reach their goal.
After completing an active weight loss program, patients who are at or near their goal may transition into a Maintenance Phase, if clinically appropriate.
The maintenance phase focuses on:
Weight stabilization
Preventing rebound weight gain
Ongoing provider oversight
Maintenance or reduced dosing as indicated
Maintenance plans are customized, time-based, and available only after completion of a weight loss program. Your provider will discuss this option with you if and when it becomes appropriate.
Not all patients require maintenance medication. This decision is based on individual response and clinical judgment.
